About Dr. Val Garn
Dr. Val Garn was raised in Garland, Utah and graduated from Bear River High School. He attended Weber State University for his undergraduate degree and received a teaching certificate in Math, Chemistry and Physics. He attended dental school at the University of Oklahoma where he graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery. He graduated at the top of his class and with numerous awards including a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, Alpha Omega for highest scholastic average, award from American Academy of Periodontology for exceeding in the field of periodontics, award from the American Association of Orthodontists , award from American College of Dentist for high achievement, award from American College of Prosthodontists for high academic and clinical proficiency, and Restorative Dentistry Award for highest achievement of restorative dentistry. He served in the US Army at Fort Huachuca before moving to Burley.
Dr. Val Garn was recently serving as the chairman for the Idaho State Board of Dentistry and is an examiner for Western Regional Examining Board. He serves on two committees for WREB (the Dental Examining Review Board and the Operative Committee). He has served on the Idaho State University hygiene board. He has been involved in community service including the Lions club, scouting, and church service.
Dr. Val Garn wanted to move to this area because he thought this would be a great place to raise a family and he was correct. Val is married to Ann Garn and they are the parents of six children. All of their children have graduated from Burley High School and were involved in numerous activities. They have all loved living in Burley. He enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family.
